The Accountant-General’s Department (AGD) plays an important role in making Singapore a better place through Finance. At AGD, we aim to be a future-ready leader in transforming Public Sector finance by putting finance at the heart of our decision-making. We do this through building a strong foundation in providing robust financial systems and processes that serve key stakeholders including our pensioners, vendors and the public sector. Our team of accounting professionals work at AGD and are deployed to the public agencies to deliver a wide range of financial and accounting-related services to the Public Service. Together we play a critical role in helping the Government achieve its fiscal and economic objectives through sound stewardship and governance.

1) Expanding the data integration pipelines to enrich the WOG finance data warehouse • Integration of Statutory Board data into Fi@Gov (i.e. Data cleaning, user-acceptance testing of fixes by vendor) • Data harmonisation workstream • Data Dictionary 2) User Engagement (ad-hoc) • Work with users to build customised dashboards on Fi@Gov 3) Assist with Directorate’s budget administration. • Support the FDA Budget representatives on managing the directorate’s budget. 4) Participate in data science/machine learning projects using Python and automated machine learning platform, Amazon SageMaker. 5) Other ad-hoc assignments as they arise.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies to accomplish the assigned tasks. • Meticulous in ensuring data/information accuracy. • Enthusiastic to learn and embrace new challenges. • Able to clarify when in doubt, especially to manage expectations and to prioritise tasks as required. • Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks. • Organised individual with good interpersonal and communication skills (presentation and writing); • Proficiency in basic office productivity tools, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint; • Prior experience with any of the leading BI tools in the market (e.g. MicroStrategy, Tableau, Qliksense, Qlikview, Power BI) is advantageous; • Hands-on experience with at least one programming language e.g. SQL or Python is advantageous. We are seeking final-year university students (in their 3rd/4th year) for an internship position starting July/August 2025. Suitable candidates should have a background in Accountancy, Business, Finance, Analytics, IT, Systems, or related disciplines.
