What the role is

As Assistant Director for the Corporate Finance and Treasury Division, the job holder will manage a team of up to 3 officers. The main roles and responsibilities would include the following:

What you will be working on

Corporate Finance • Carry out analysis and regular review on the optimal capital structure for PUB • Ensure documentation for Medium Term Notes (MTN) Programme and Green Financing Framework are current and relevant • Lead financial, market and scenario analysis to develop PUB’s borrowing strategy and fund raising plans • Execute bond issuance or loan arrangement to ensure sufficient funds to meet PUB’s cashflow requirements • Review investment options to develop recommendations for Senior Management’s consideration • Carry out the investment activities approved by the Board/ Senior Management • Manage accounts (including custody and current accounts) set up for investment purposes • Prepare materials for Board / Senior Management approval Treasury and Cash Management • Manage cashflow projection and liquidity planning to guide decisions on borrowings and investment • Monitor daily cash position and cash flow projections to ensure sufficient funds for payments • Oversee treasury operations, including bank account management, maintenance of bank signatories, and foreign currency fixed deposit placements, foreign currency purchases and hedging of foreign currency contracts • Make treasury process improvements and evaluate the need for treasury management systems • Prepare quarterly treasury and cash flow reports, including variance analysis and dashboards

What we are looking for

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field • Minimally 7-8 years of experience in corporate finance, treasury or debt capital markets, with at least 2 years in a managerial or lead role • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills • Self-driven, detailed-oriented, and able to work independently as well as manage a small team in a fast-paced environment • Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office and data visualisation tools All applicants will be notified on whether they are shortlisted or not within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.
