The Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG) undertakes the statutory functions in the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders, and the protection of children, families and vulnerable adults (VAs). Our mission is to empower individuals and families to break cycles of abuse, neglect and offending.
We build socially-responsible individuals and strong and stable families by creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, young persons and families.
Description of Division/Branch:
As part of the RPG family, the Partner & Capability Development (PCD) division drives evidence-based practice and capability building through applied research and effective strategies. We strengthen coordination of common services and enable holistic partner management to deliver comprehensive end-to-end service plans. The division serves as an enabler to our community partners whilst advancing trauma-informed practices to better support both staff and the social service sector. Through these efforts, we aim to enhance the quality and effectiveness of rehabilitation and protection services to safeguard the safety and well-being of individuals, families and vulnerable adults experiencing violence, abuse or neglect.

What the role is
What you will be working on
Brief description of Job Scope:
As the incumbent, you will report to the Assistant Director of the Partnership Management team, and play a pivotal part in the growth of the out-of-home care sector. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with Children's Homes (CHs) in bolstering service standards and capabilities through partner engagement, organisational development, operational guidance, work process improvement, and addressing challenges faced by the homes.
Responsibilities:
• Your contribution will be pivotal in engaging Children's Homes to provide quality care to their residents. Achieving this goal will require developing sector directions and operational guidelines for the Homes, and collaborating with partners and stakeholders to enhance their service standards.
• To excel in promoting best practices in residential care for children and young individuals, building capabilities and engaging with external partners and stakeholders is essential.
• Additionally, your responsibilities will involve the ability to work independently and effectively in crisis situations. As such, comfort with crisis work is a necessary skill.
• The job typically entails working regular office hours, but there may be occasions (events or crises) when evenings or weekends are required.

Requirements:
• Background in Social Work, Psychology or related disciplines, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in social services.
• Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a capacity for conceptual thinking and multitasking.
• Have a passion for collaborating with Social Service Agencies (SSAs) to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.
• Be a team player who can thrive in a fast-paced setting while working independently.
