What the role is

Assistant Director (SP) will assist SP Division to:
• Develop and review PA’s strategic thrusts
• Find opportunities for synergies with other Government agencies
• Align PA Divisions to PA’s strategic thrusts
• Track progress of achieving PA’s strategic thrusts

Strategic Resource Management:

  • Develop and review PA’s strategic thrusts: 

- Resource management for mid to long term planning (manpower and

budget/fund)

       -  Adoption of Programme Evaluation (PE) methodologies 

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop long-term directions and strategies:

-  Track and translate external trends to PA’s context 

       -   Track progress of achieving PA’s strategic priorities and identify gaps to

be addressed

- Conduct analysis and data mining 

- Provide strategic contents for annual Community Seminar to

communicate key objectives and workplan for PA Staff

- Develop and review strategies to build PA’s internal capabilities o Co-

develop, coordinate and prepare board papers and management reports

- Plan and coordinate reviews, seminars and workshops to align

management and staff

Strategic Implementation:

  • Steer PA towards strategic innovation and transformation: 

- Coordinate and drive PA’s contribution to Public Service Transformation  

     efforts, including SGTogether

- Review of PA’s Strategic Touchpoints

          - “Promote civic participation in local neighbourhood” workstream under  

              ForwardSG Unite Pillar

          - Coordinate and facilitate Last Mile Workforce Transformation

Staffing and Coordination:

  • Provide secretariat support for PA Board and senior management platforms
  • Coordinate and prepare submissions to external agencies 
  • Facilitate cross-divisional tasks/projects and initiatives
  • Plan and monitor Division’s budget
