What the role is

What you will be working on

Use data analytics to identify high-risk taxpayers and conduct audits on their compliance with GST rules and regulations.
Preparing reports and submissions on audit findings and recommending actions to be taken, as well as educating taxpayers on the correct GST treatment.

Officers are also expected to contribute towards enhancements and continuous work improvements by:

Providing regular feedback/ ideas to improve taxpayers’ compliance and work processes
Participating and applying knowledge of relevant technologies (e.g. RPA, data analytics) or methodologies (e.g. BI & Design) in ad hoc projects that may be assigned from time to time to improve taxpayers’ compliance or streamline work processes.

What we are looking for

Preferably a degree in Tax, Accountancy or Business
Basic knowledge in GST and/or at least 1 year audit experience will be an added advantage but is not essential
Good interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
Logical, organised and systematic in handling and analysing available information/data
Ability to question, probe and analyse
Resourceful and able to work independently in a team environment
