What the role is
What you will be working on
Assist in the implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance with prevailing regulations. Maintain good documentation of frameworks, policies, and procedures for knowledge management.
Monitor data quality metrics, identify anomalies, and coordinate with relevant teams to address data incidents promptly.
Support data classification and access control policies, ensuring appropriate data handling and protection measures are in place.
Assist data requestors and data owners in adhering to prevailing standards when utilizing of Whole-of-Government (WOG) data sharing platforms.
Perform secretariate duties for DSAD meetings, including scheduling, preparing documentation, and tracking action items.
Manage logistical needs for DSAD engagements, including booking venues, tracking attendance, and preparing materials.
Perform other administrative tasks within the Division, including budget tracking and procurement processes, and work with division staff to improve on our internal processes
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote data literacy and stewardship across the organization, fostering a culture that values data as a strategic asset.
What we are looking for
Knowledge and Skills:
Basic understanding of data governance principles, data management, and data protection regulations, including familiarity with the Instruction Manual 8 (IM8).
Experience in administrative support, including meeting coordination, documentation, and event logistics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Aptitudes and Abilities:
Detail-oriented, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of data integrity and administrative accuracy.
Collaborative mindset, with a genuine interest in fostering a strong data culture within the organization.
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and support cross-functional initiatives.
