What the role is
What you will be working on
Join our dynamic team of transport planners who envision and mould the future of land transportation for Singapore. As our transport needs mature and evolve with the population we serve, we are looking for passionate individuals with a zeal to serve the public. You will be given the unique opportunity to influence and shape the future transportation system of Singapore. This will include identifying, developing and evaluating not only new road and rail infrastructure projects but areas where road spaces can be repurposed for other active modes like walking, cycling and more. Additionally, you will be involved in the planning and design of the public bus network and the supporting infrastructure.
You will design and supervise data collection activities, analyse and interpret survey results, develop transport network improvements proposals, forecast travel demand, assess community benefits and determine economic performance. You will also work closely with other Government agencies to develop integrated transport-landuse plans and provide transportation planning advice on future land use development initiatives.

What we are looking for
• Knowledge in any disciplines, preferably in in Civil Engineering, Town/Urban Planning, Geography, Architecture, Real Estate or related
• At least 3 years of experience in road, rail and/or bus planning
• Experience in land use planning, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), transport planning and transport modeling simulation techniques will be an advantage
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Candidates with relevant experience, good understanding of transport/town planning principles and strong analytical capabilities will be considered for senior roles
• Candidates without experience but display the necessary skillsets may also be considered
• At least 3 years of experience in road, rail and/or bus planning
