As a Senior Manager/Manager/Assistant Manager in the Technology and Innovation Department at the National Arts Council, you will play a pivotal role in driving the intersection of arts and technology initiatives such as Project Arts Metaverse and Arts x Tech Lab. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies and programmes involving technologies and tech partners to catalyse innovation in the arts sector. This role requires a blend of interest and knowledge in technology trends, project management skills, and a good understanding or appreciation of the arts landscape in Singapore.
What you will be working on
Arts and Technology Project(s) :
- Lead the development, execution and delivery of assigned projects within scope, cost and time.
- Manage partnerships with project stakeholders, oversee project teams, and coordinate with the project working and steering committees.
- Ensure compliance with governance and cybersecurity standards for all assigned projects.
- Oversee public launches, marketing, and publicity efforts for the project experiences.
- Conduct strategic reviews and assessments for future phases of assigned project(s) including Project Arts Metaverse and Arts x Tech Lab.
Technology Innovation in the Arts:
- Develop and implement programmes to promote arts and tech and grow the arts and technology community in Singapore.
- Conduct horizon scanning and research on emerging technologies and their potential applications in the arts.
- Manage partnerships with technology providers, start-ups, and other relevant stakeholders.
You will also be involved in formulating policies and programmes to support technology innovation in the arts sector, coordinating cross-sectoral collaborations and inter-agency initiatives related to arts and technology, and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, arts groups, and technology partners.
As part of day-today work, you will be preparing reports, presentations, submissions and other materials for senior management and external partners.
Who we are looking for:
The ideal candidate should have :
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in technology-related fields or the arts sector.
- Entry level applicants are welcomed if they demonstrate key competencies in areas highlighted in the job description.
- Some familiarity and understanding of (including but not limited to) metaverse platforms, virtual reality, and augmented reality technologies, web3 concepts, game engines, and 3D software etc.
- Experience and/or proven track record in driving innovation and managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Experience in business development and a good understanding of the Singapore arts ecosystem.
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office suite.
- Passion for the arts and a keen interest in exploring how technology can enhance artistic expression and audience engagement.
