What the role is

We are seeking a dynamic individual to drive manpower planning initiatives and develop automated solutions for the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). This role combines operational management with data analytics to optimize workforce deployment and implement innovative solutions for manpower planning and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Analysis & Discovery

1. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on workforce planning initiatives

2. Conduct comprehensive analysis of current manpower deployment patterns

3. Map existing processes and identify automation opportunities

4. Develop data collection and analysis frameworks

5. Develop data-driven insights to optimise workforce deployment

Solution Development

1. Design and implement automated manpower planning solutions

2. Create predictive models for staffing requirements and resource allocation

3. Develop interactive dashboards for real-time workforce monitoring

4. Develop training materials and conduct user training sessions

Process Optimization

1. Optimize staff scheduling algorithms Integrate leave management and training schedules

2. Implement continuous improvement frameworks

Post-Implementation & Continuous Improvement

1. Monitor system performance and user adoption rates

2. Conduct periodic user satisfaction surveys and identify areas for further optimization

3. Propose and evaluate new features and enhancements

4. Assess scalability of solutions for other departments/functions

What we are looking for

Requirements

1. Background in relevant fields (Computer Science, Data Analytics, Process and System Engineering, Operations Management etc.)

2. Fresh graduates or candidates with 1-3 years of relevant experience are welcome

3. Demonstrated interest in process improvement and automation through academic or personal projects

Essential Skills:

1. Strong foundation in data analysis and visualization Proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI

2. Basic programming knowledge

3. Project management capabilities

4. Process mapping and optimization experience

5. Well-versed in Machine learning concepts

6. Experience with automation tools
