The Department of Student Development (SD) aims to provide all SP students with a positive Polytechnic experience through meaningful out-of-classroom activities.

As a Senior Executive, the appointee will be required to provide administrative, financial and operational support in the department, including but not limited to coaches appointment processes, as well as manage & mentor student CCA groups. The job also requires the appointee to take on roles in other committees, with opportunities to work with both internal and external stakeholders to organize SP-wide events to enhance campus vibrancy. He/she should be open to job mobility.

What you will be working on

Responsibilities:-

  • Administrative and operational support for CCA coaches/instructors and sports facilities
    • Support procurement and appointment process of CCA coaches and instructors
    • Monitor coaches’ budget and ensure timely processing of payment to CCA coaches and instructors
    • Support facility booking requests and processes
  • Manage and mentor CCA groups
    • Mentor student leaders and align clubs with holistic student development framework
    • Oversee all administrative and operational matters related to CCA groups
    • Recruit coaches/instructors (if applicable) and work closely with them to enhance students' performance
  • Provide general support to the department on procurement related matters and perform any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

What we are looking for

Requirements:-

  • Diploma or equivalent preferably with minimum 2 - 4 years working experience in the area of administration and preferably with financial experience.
  • Possess passion and ability to manage student CCAs and provide mentoring/coaching to students.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized, detailed-oriented, versatile and good interpersonal skills.
  • Possess initiative with ability to multi-task and able to work independently with a proactive & positive attitude and minimal supervision.

Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
