What the role is
What you will be working on
The Innovation, Technology & Transformation Division (“ITX”) is an integrated, cross-court unit overseeing transformation within SG Courts. ITX’s mandate is to drive business and operating model shifts, policy and service delivery transformation, and implement technology and data capabilities across SG Courts.
A priority of the SG Courts is innovation and technology. ITX is responsible for the entire transformation cycle: from horizon-scanning, strategy and policy planning to business process re-engineering and technology implementation.
The successful candidate will:
• Take charge of specific technology and innovation projects and initiatives;
• Develop a blueprint to help SG Courts achieve its digital transformation goals;
• Engage stakeholders to envision the possible consolidation of the various case management systems and establish a feasible plan to do so; and
• Engage technology vendors together with all other stakeholders, to manage all phases of the projects and initiatives to ensure that they are executed properly and completed on time.
• Be expected to keep abreast of developments in legal technology and make recommendations as to whether these may be good fits for SG Courts.
What we are looking for
Requirements:
Having a law degree, experience with litigation work, experience in handling technology and/or business process re-engineering, service design or digital transformation will be an advantage.
• Proven track record of delivering process improvement projects, ideally with Legal Technology
• Demonstrated record of developing advisory relationships with key stakeholders with the ability to influence decisions and outcomes
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Able to collaborate with other colleagues, work across functions and gather user needs for implementation into systems, handle process mapping with proper documentation of requirements.
• Able to understand complex workflow and recommend improvements to existing processes, and to work independently and accomplish objectives in a fluid, often unprecedented, work environment.
