What the role is
Reporting to the branch head of KM in RMD, this position involves engaging leaders, subject matter experts and project teams to document and disseminate valuable knowledge. The role also includes managing KM initiatives to leverage technology to enhance knowledge accessibility.
What you will be working on
Your key job responsibilities will include the following:
1. Knowledge Capture and Documentation
- Identify leaders and subject matter experts for knowledge capture interviews (Expert Knowledge Retention, EKR)
- Conduct background research on selected candidates’ career history and expertise
- Engage stakeholders to identify their critical knowledge capture needs
- Scope and frame interviews, develop insightful questions and conduct structured knowledge capture discussions
- Synthesize key insights from interviews and translate them into accessible knowledge-sharing materials (e.g. video clips, reports, etc)
- Work with divisions to identify, document, and distil key lessons from completed team projects, initiatives, and strategic decisions (NEA Knowledge Documentation, NKD)
- Monitor internal and external reports on NEA’s key projects, initiatives, and strategic decisions
- Engage divisions to scope and frame knowledge documentation initiatives
- Review and edit divisions’ drafts for clarity and accessibility
- Synthesize key insights from knowledge documentations based on themes relevant to NEA’s needs
2. Knowledge Systems and Technology for Knowledge Sharing
- Promote adoption of KM tools and practices across NEA through training, advocacy and change management initiatives
- Leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics to enhance knowledge discovery on EMPOWER (NEA’s KM Portal) and insights generation
- Promote visibility of knowledge resources through various channels
3. Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management
- Partner divisions and leadership teams to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration
- Recognise and show appreciation to knowledge contributors
4. Learning and Continuous Improvement
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and communities of practice, to disseminate key learnings across the organisation
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of KM initiatives through KPIs and feedback mechanisms
What we are looking for
The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:
- At least 2 years of experience in knowledge management, organisational learning, or a related function in a large organisation.
- Strong research, analytical and interviewing skills with the ability to extract key insights from subject matter experts.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills to distil complex information into easily digestible knowledge assets.
- Familiarity with AI-driven KM tools and digital transformation trends is a plus.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
