You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation, implementation and monitoring of Operating and Development Budget for the MOT-Family, to ensure fiscal responsibility, compliance with financial regulations and budget frameworks, and effective allocation of resources to support WOG objectives. Key responsibilities: • Collaborate with MOT HQ Divisions and Statutory Boards to evaluate budget proposals, and develop and prepare annual and multi-year budget for MOT-Family to ensure optimal provision and allocation of resources • Process fund requests and payments, and ensure that payments are made promptly and accurately and are accounted for appropriately • Monitor budget performance and perform budget re-allocation to optimise budget utilisation • Prepare budget utilisation reports, including analysis of variances and late payments, for reporting to senior management • Operationalise and ensure compliance with financial regulations, budget frameworks and other accounting policies • Tap on technology and systems, and review internal processes and controls to enhance efficiency • Provide support for ad hoc finance tasks or projects

• Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification will be an advantage • A self-starter who can work independently and be a team player as well • Strong written and communication skills • Meticulous attention to detail is necessary • Possess good interpersonal skills

MOT oversees the development and regulation of the following sectors: • Civil Aviation and Air Transport • Maritime and Ports • Land Transport Besides providing an efficient and cost-effective transportation in Singapore, it also strives to make Singapore an international civil aviation and maritime centre for the region. The ministry sets the strategic and policy direction while operations and regulatory works are carried out by the statutory boards under its charge. There are four statutory boards which are established by Acts of Parliament: the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), the Land Transport Authority (LTA), the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and the Public Transport Council (PTC). The ministry also oversees the operation of the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau (TSIB).
