As an Engineer (Hydrogeology) in the Water Systems Department, Planning & Capability Development division, you will be part of an inter-disciplinary team to lead the development of engineering models to understand hydrological systems and enhance integrated water resource management and undertake related R&D projects.

What the role is
What you will be working on
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following areas:
• Data Analysis: work in a multidisciplinary team to collect and analyse data from trial boreholes, hydraulic tests, and geological studies.
• Flow modelling: work closely with the project consultants to develop and refine flow models to optimise water resources.
• Model calibration and updating: Calibrate and update models using field monitoring data.
• Report preparation: prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Knowledge management: maintain and implement standard protocols for model development, calibration, and validation to ensure that models are properly archived and version controlled.
• Any other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for
• Degree or postgraduate qualifications in Hydrogeology, Geology, Civil / Environmental Engineering, or related fields
• Proficiency in hydrogeological modelling software and GIS applications
• Possess strong analytical thinking, planning and problem-solving skills
• Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and a good team player
• Self-motivated, adaptable and possess strong sense of responsibility
• Experience/ knowledge in hydrogeological modelling is preferred
