What the role is

Description of Group: Rehabilitation & Social Mobility (RSM) Policy Directorate develops policies and programmes which: a) Deliver stability, self-reliance and social mobility for lower income families b) Protect individuals and families from abuse and neglect or problem gambling c) Rehabilitate individuals from social dysfunction. Description of Division/Branch: Family Intervention Division develop and review policies which enhance intervention, stability and resilience of youth-at-risk and vulnerable families (including those with problem gamblers). Brief description of Job Scope: You will be part of a team of officers who will be working with other Ministries and Divisions within MSF and our stakeholders to formulate, implement and evaluate policies, conduct research and public engagement activities. We are looking for a detail oriented and driven individual to join us. The successful candidate's designation will be commensurate with their experience. Suitable officers may be given supervisory responsibilities.

What you will be working on

• Collaborate with external stakeholders and partners across Ministries and Divisions to formulate, implement and evaluate policies. • Conceptualise research studies, develop research proposals, plan and organise the collection of data. • Conduct data analysis using appropriate statistical methods/tools, interpret and present research findings. • Plan and carry out public engagement of stakeholders. • Lead a team of officers to carry out the above.

What we are looking for

• Possess written and communication skills. • Possess strong planning skills and analytical aptitude. • Possess strong team ethos and effective interpersonal skills. • Ability to communicate complex research findings to non-technical audiences. • Experience in policy or research (3-5 years of experience) would be advantageous. • Proficiency and experience in the use of statistical analysis and software (e.g. Python, R, SPSS) would be advantageous.
