What the role is

As EnterpriseSG scales up on Standards & Conformance (S&C) efforts to advance economic development interests, the Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) will play a critical role in uplifting sectors and enterprises via ensuring robustness and consistency of processes and systems, as well as quality of products and services, facilitating market access via establishment of mutual recognition arrangements (MRAs) and strengthening mindshare of Singapore quality infrastructure.

What you will be working on

i) Manage core functions of the SAC, including account management of testing, inspection & certification (TIC) organisations, undergoing qualification and conduct of accreditation assessments, managing SAC committees and working groups as secretariat, development of accreditation programmes, and managing external volunteers and assessors to ensure smooth running of SAC operations. Focus will be on sectors and areas such as sustainability (e.g. carbon footprint, climate reporting) and various laboratory and inspection schemes (e.g. calibration & measurement, cargo inspection) 

 
ii) Plan, develop, coordinate and implement SAC’s international strategies and representation of Singapore at various accreditation and S&C fora and platforms. Efforts will include reviewing, establishment and management of bilateral and multilateral agreements and partnerships, supporting SAC and Enterprise SG’s involvement in leadership, governance and strategic roles and commitments at international organisations, coordinating and managing EnterpriseSG’s involvement and representation, as well as participate in key international and regional fora (e.g., Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation, ASEAN ACCSQ). 

What we are looking for

The candidate should have academic background or working experience in Science and/or Engineering fields to fulfil core accreditation functions. The candidate should also ideally have experience or familiarity in industry development, and/or international policy/partnership functions. Attributes like pro-active ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), resourcefulness, clear-thinking, adaptability to evolving situations and ability to coordinate and manage complex initiatives involving multiple local and foreign stakeholders and partners.
