What the role is
What you will be working on
- Establish and maintain geospatial data policies and standards
- Manage the Central Geospatial Data Depository
- Trial and develop new geospatial prototype products and applications in support of evolving operational needs
- Curate geospatial data for homeland security needs
Challenge(s)
- Ensuring timely delivery of geospatial data and products while maintaining interoperability between MHA and MINDEF/SAF agencies
- Balancing evolving operational needs with data governance requirements
What we are looking for
- Education in Geospatial Sciences, Applied GIS, Civil Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science or Geography
- Work experience in Geospatial/GIS/data governance is preferred
- Knowledge of Homeland Security domain is advantageous
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work extended hours during contingencies
