Deputy Manager, Senior Business Analyst (A&P) /IT Services (2-year contract)

What you will be working on

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will bridge the gap between business and technology. You will analyse needs, gather requirements through collaboration with the business stakeholders and work on converting the requirements into technical specifications or validating products that align with the business and overall organisational objectives.

  • Lead and facilitate strategic planning workshops, interviews, and meetings with key stakeholders, and understand and document business requirements, ensuring alignment of enterprise-wide goals.

  • Understand specific requirements to ensure that all assigned module activities support project objectives.

  • Facilitate cross-domain coordination to harmonise requirements, processes and timelines.

  • Communicate progress updates, issues, and risks to relevant stakeholders promptly.

  • Analyse and document current state ('as-is') and future state ('to-be') business processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for process improvement.

  • Coordinate, prepare and review testing documents, including testing case outline, scenarios.

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications where they are understood by business stakeholders and development teams.

  • Validate third-party products and vendor solutions against organisation, business and technical requirements to support procurement and implementation decisions.

  • Present findings, propose solutions, and manage expectations of business and technical audiences, including senior leadership.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers who manage the project scope, timeline, and deliverables.

  • Contribute to the IT digitalisation roadmap by identifying technological opportunities that can enhance administrative efficiency.

  • Support the Change Management Team in the planning and delivery of user adoption activities and training.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for assigned module(s), including process updates, testing artefacts, and closure reports.

  • Provide Level 1 user support and escalate unresolved issues promptly.

Prerequisites

  • Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related fields with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Candidates with more years of experience will be considered for more senior roles.
  • Business Analysis certification, e.g. Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
  • Experience participating in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, evaluating third-party software vendors, and managing vendor relationships post-implementation and supporting change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes.
  • Agile certifications like Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) would be preferred.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certification would be preferred.
  • Cloud-related certification, such as Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate, would be preferred.
  • Hands-on experience using Academic and Administrative Systems as an end user.
  • Relevant experience in Information Technology, Information Science or IT-related disciplines is advantageous.
  • Experience in business process engineering is highly advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels and within teams.
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to perform well under pressure.
