At Charities Unit, we adopt a robust yet balanced regulatory approach and work with various partners to help charities strengthen their capabilities and governance. We encourage co-regulation and a culture of transparency and accountability to enable safe giving.

What you will be working on

As a key account manager overseeing charities, your responsibilities include the following: Registration and monitoring of regulatory compliance of charities and Institutions of a Public Character – this would include evaluating case submissions, conducting field visits and addressing policy and operational issues in the charity sector; Oversee permit applications to conduct fund-raising appeals in Singapore for foreign charitable purposes; Oversee governance reviews and investigate into possible noncompliance or misconduct of charities and practices of fund-raisers; Assist in enforcement actions; and Explore and develop new approaches or work processes and see through their implementation.

What we are looking for

Experiences At least 2 years of working experience in compliance, regulatory or enforcement work. Competencies Able to read financial statements and conduct basic financial analysis. Basic knowledge of legal and accounting principles will be an added advantage. Preferably have knowledge and expertise in Accountancy or Business Administration. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to engage and build relationships and networks with diverse stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical thinking with the ability to think creatively and strategically. Personality Traits Able to work independently, exercise initiative, pay attention to details, and be a good team player.
