What the role is

The Strategy, International & Research (SIR) Directorate oversees and drives MSF’s strategic planning, transformation, international engagement, as well as research and analytics efforts to achieve MSF’s strategic outcomes. As part of the Transformation Division in SIR, you will be part of a team to strengthen MSF’s innovation ecosystem to encourage Divisions and staff to be part of MSF’s IDEAL (Innovative, Digital, Empathetic, Agile and Lean) movement. You will undertake a range of projects ranging from internal communications, capability development, rewards platforms and staff work that contribute to the creation of an innovative culture within MSF. Reporting to the Assistant Director (Innovation Branch) of Transformation Division, you will work with other Branches within the Transformation Division and other MSF Divisions to play a critical role in driving MSF’s transformation. If you are interested in challenging yourself, experimenting with new approaches and tools, developing solutions through iterations, dealing with ambiguity in an adaptive and agile manner, then this role is for you.

What you will be working on

• You will be part of Innovation Branch within the Transformation Division, which drives initiatives that strengthen MSF’s innovation ecosystem through the following: • Raising awareness and building innovation capabilities • Recognising and rewarding desired behaviours that contribute to MSF’s transformation • Aligning MSF’s transformation efforts through meeting platforms • Ensuring resources are accessible to support transformation Key responsibilities include: • Assist with the planning and execution of projects owned by the Innovation Branch • Design and implement strategies promote an innovative culture within MSF • Facilitate discussions with key stakeholders to align transformation efforts within MSF • Strategise, design and implement internal communications as part of building an innovative culture within MSF • Manage innovation rewards and recognition programme to acknowledge and encourage behaviours that contribute to MSF’s transformation • Collaborate with partners to build new capabilities (e.g. Design Thinking, Behavioural Insights) and develop a future-ready MSF • Proactively create effective partnerships internally and externally to collaborate with, to influence transformation efforts within the MSF-family

What we are looking for

• At least 5 years of working experience in transformation / change management / culture-building work • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage a wide-spectrum of stakeholders and lead them to achieve win-win outcomes • Be daring to think out of the box and challenge status quo • Keen interest in problem-solving and harnessing the collective intelligence of the team • Ability to work both in a team and independently • Strong project management and execution abilities • Having facilitation skills and/or experience in strategic work will be advantageous • Innovative individual who will not only think out of the box to find solutions for existing and anticipated problems, but also support and encourage others in doing the same • Believes in continual learning in diverse skillsets for both yourself and your team • Believes in the need to drive innovation within the organisation and have the perseverance to push through implementation plans to fruition • Strong creativity, analytical, written, communication and inter-personal skills Only shortlisted candidates will be notified within 4 weeks from the closing date of this position
