What the role is

As part of a team operating and maintaining a test facility for 5G testing and experimentation, the responsibilities of this role include the following:

What you will be working on

  • Configuring, operating and maintaining a telco-grade 5G Core platform and supporting infrastructure in a laboratory environment;
  • Performing detailed technical assessment, troubleshooting and analysis of 5G Core-related technologies/operation;
  • Assisting users of the system to familiarize with the experimental platform, 5G Core architecture and functionality;
  • Presenting on 5G-related technical topics to sizable internal audiences.

What we are looking for

  • Background in 5GC architecture and Core network functions with good understanding of 5G network architecture, protocols, and standards (e.g., 3GPP). 
  • Possess at least 4 years of HANDS-ON experience in operation and/or implementation of 4G/5G Core networks.
  • Familiarity with IP networking/connectivity and routing/switching protocols/techniques (IPV4/IPV6, BGP, IGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.) would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, an ability to be PROACTIVE and LEAD in a multi-stakeholder environment, and FLEXIBILITY to take on tasks outside of normal job routine are prerequisites.
