You will be part of the Individual Insolvency and Debt Repayment Scheme Division of the Insolvency & Public Trustee's Office (IPTO) that oversees the administration of the affairs of individual insolvencies. You will be responsible for all areas of asset realisation under the division and be involved in engaging bankrupts, individuals/entities in possession of information/documents relating to bankrupts’ assets, law firms and creditors.

What you will be working on
(a) Liaise with external parties on matters relating to bankrupts’ assets
(b) Examine and verify documents submitted by the bankrupts or asset holders
(c) Ensure that information on bankrupts’ assets is properly recorded and documented
(d) Follow procedures and guidelines in realising/liquidating bankrupts’ assets
(e) Handle both general and case-specific enquiries from bankrupts and creditors
(f) Ensure that the proceeds from the realisation of bankrupts’ assets are remitted timely to the bankruptcy estates
(g) Review existing asset realisation processes and suggest improvements to work procedures
What we are looking for
Requirements:
(a) Academic training preferably in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or Law
(b) Work experience of 1 to 2 years, preferably with experience in customer service
(c) Meticulous and ability to multi-task
(d) Good written and verbal communications skills
(e) Able to work independently with minimal supervision
(f) Energetic team-player with good interpersonal skills
(g) Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Key competencies:
(a) [Investigating and Gathering Evidence] Ensure all evidence related to the case are appropriately obtained, documented, processed, and stored in accordance with agency policy and procedures to support case resolution.
(b) [Demonstrating resilience] Demonstrate emotional resilience and courage to overcome difficulties, persevering in driving towards purposeful outcomes.
(c) [Leveraging on technology] Keep up to date on technological trends relevant to the work in enforcement and adopt relevant technology-enabled solutions to address current and future enforcement challenges.
(d) [Processing cases] Ensure that each step in the case management process is carried out with professionalism and integrity.
(e) [Planning and managing operations] Plan and/or execute daily operations according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to optimise enforcement functions.
(f) [Knowing and Applying Public Service-Level Acts and Regulations] Be familiar with Public Service-level Acts and Regulations (e.g. Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act, Companies Act, Penal Code) that are relevant to the work, and is confident in carrying out the enforcement role in both digital and physical spaces.
Successful candidates will be appointed on a 1-year contract in the first instance. Any extension of the contract will be subject to job performance and/or manpower needs.
