What the role is

ACRA is looking for one year contract staff to help with APRD’s operational work.

What you will be working on

Systems and Processes: • Process transactions that require manual intervention • Build systems requirements and perform user testing of system related to the transactions to be implemented in Business Registry and Regulatory System (BR2S). Deemed registration of Public Accounting Entities (PAEs) as Corporate Service Providers (CSPs): • Follow up with the PAEs (if required) for the purpose of registering them as CSP. • Maintain the Register of Deemed CSP until a system is built in BR2S. • Manage customer queries / feedback relating to systems and processes registration of deemed CSP. Approved liquidators: • Maintain the Register of Approved Liquidators Continuing Professional Education (CPE) compliance check: • Assist project lead in conducting checks on compliance with the Accountants Act requirements (e.g. CPE, professional indemnity insurance etc.) and propose enforcement action against non-compliant Public Accountants (PAs)/PAEs. Event planning/organisation: • Assist in the planning and organisation of an international meeting to be hosted by ACRA Policy research: • Assist in research work (e.g. jurisdictional comparison) to help formulate accounting/ regulations related policies.

What we are looking for

• Positive and resilient individual who enjoys challenging work that is not limited to rigid scope • Proactive and resourceful to make things happen • Possess strong digital skills (in Excel and other software, AI etc) • Good analytical mind to understand and think of solutions for issues. • Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) • Able to work independently and as a team • Some experience in accounting would be advantageous
