What the role is

As Senior Head, Higher Education Policy in the Higher Education Policy Division, you will be part of a dynamic team overseeing the formulation, review and implementation of policies related to the development of the polytechnic and Institute of Technical Education (ITE) sector.

What you will be working on

• Oversee the long-term planning of the polytechnic and ITE sector, encompassing strategic direction, resource management, and enhancement of the institutions’ capacities and capabilities • Drive policies that ensure the polytechnic and ITE education sector remains in tandem with evolving economic needs, technological changes and individual aspirations including efforts to support technology-enabled and lifelong learning • Analyse, develop, and implement policies that shape the polytechnic and ITE student experience and outcomes, including student admissions, articulation pathways and support for different student profiles to grow their passions and develop their potential • Work closely with the polytechnics, ITE and other government agencies to understand and respond to trade-offs and trends in the higher education landscape This is an individual contributor role. What we are looking for

• Strong analytical ability, quantitative and strategic perspective • Good writing and communication skills • Ability to work with large datasets, derive key insights and present implications to facilitate policy reviews • Highly motivated individual with the ability to work well independently as well as in teams In general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 3 weeks of the close of the application window.
