Assistant Director (Finance Resource Management), Finance Division

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Finance Resource Management team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in MTI’s budget planning and administration, working with key stakeholders to ensure optimal use of MTI’s financial resources.

You will be reporting to Deputy Director (Finance) and manage an assigned portfolio with the scope of work which will include, but not limited to the following: • Coordinate annual budget and medium-term expenditure projection exercises; • Consolidate and assess budget requirements submitted by departments and divisions and provide insights and recommendations to senior management; • Work with departments and divisions to drive optimal budget utilisation; and • Conduct finance/budget-related reviews, and drive policy/process improvements

You should: • Possess a relevant field of study in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline(s) with 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience. Prior experience working in a finance/budget-related function within the Singapore Public Service with working knowledge of related finance policies/processes would be an advantage; • Possess strong analytical skills with ability to deep-dive into processes and data; • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills to work with different stakeholders; • Be a committed, responsible and self-driven individual with passion for continuous learning and improvement.
