We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join us as an ICT & SS Incident Management Specialist for government Information Communications Technology (ICT) and data incidents. As an Incident Management Specialist with GIROC, you will be responsible to manage an analyst team to investigate, analyse and report government data security, cybersecurity, and ICT service availability incidents.
You will coordinate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to perform incident management and escalation as well as post-mortem and root cause analysis of incidents. You will also analyse past incidents and report incidents trends.

What you will be working on

  • Lead analyst team to triage incident, perform fact-finding, risk and impact assessment, incident management, and incident escalation, to ensure the swift and effective resolution of incidents

  • Work with stakeholders to investigate, conduct post-mortem, and learn lessons from incidents

  • Coordinate and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders from across the government

  • Analyse data from past incidents to identify trends

  • Prepare and present incident updates and reports to senior management

What we are looking for

  • At least 5-10 years’ working experience

  • Possesses Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Information Technology Security, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent

  • Familiar with incident management especially in the data, cybersecurity or ICT domain

  • Possesses operational experiences in either IT application or infrastructure. Knowledgeable and experienced in major Cloud concepts or IT infrastructure on network management, server management, storage management, database management and / or in applications, application servers, APIs,

  • Able to work independently and as a team player

  • Demonstrates judgment while under pressure

  • Able to work with a sense of urgency while paying attention to detail

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong critical thinking

  • Experience working in the government and in data analytics will be added advantage
