You will join a dynamic team within the Enabling Division (EN) to drive and coordinate policies to support persons with disabilities across a wide range of areas, such as training, employment, care services, and accessibility.
Beyond formulating and reviewing policies, we work with stakeholders across the public, people and private sectors to co-create and co-implement the recommendations of the Enabling Master Plan which guides Singapore towards becoming a more caring and inclusive society.

What you will be working on
As an Assistant Director in the Strategic Planning Branch, you will supervise a team working closely with a range of partners, including other government agencies and partners from the private and people sectors, to co-develop medium- to long-term plans and solutions to enhance accessibility for persons with disabilities and build a more inclusive society, under the ambit of the Enabling Masterplan.
The team is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the Enabling Masterplan, through developing strategies for implementation of specific focal areas, tracking and reporting Enabling Masterplan performance indicators, and collaborating with agencies and partners across different organisations on pilot projects to enhance accessibility for persons with disabilities (e.g. reviewing the future disability services landscape to support adults with disabilities).
You will also work with partners to plan and carry out engagements with various stakeholders at different domestic and international platforms (e.g. SG Enable’s Disability Professionals’ Network; United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities) to share the Enabling Masterplan strategy, raise disability awareness and encourage ground-up efforts to achieve the Enabling Masterplan vision.

• Relevant working experience in policy domain and leading a team is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Comfortable with looking at issues through a strategic and operational lens.
• Interest in new topics, ability to synthesise ideas and considerations, tease out implications and develop recommendations for policy issues.
• People-centric and able to build consensus with multiple stakeholders.
• Resourceful and work well independently and in leading a small team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
