Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Event Planning & Management
- Support the end-to-end management of corporate and industry events, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Contribute to event strategies and frameworks to enhance audience engagement and industry impact.
- Work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to integrate event strategies with broader business objectives.
- Manage complex event logistics, including event flow, attendee experience, vendor coordination, and contingency planning.
2. Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement
- Identify opportunities to expand event reach, including new collaborations, and strategic partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, corporate stakeholders, and government agencies to enhance event value and positioning.
- Drive outreach efforts to engage potential sponsors, exhibitors, and key stakeholders, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships.
3. SPiNOFF Ecosystem
- Contribute, collaborate, develop and support engagement strategies to connect SPINOFF with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide support to student startups.
- Foster a collaborative environment to strengthen partnership and value-exchange to support entrepreneurship eco-system.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate is a results-driven events professional with at least 4 years of experience in event management. Experience in business development is a plus. The candidate should have a proven track record in executing large-scale corporate and industry events and engaging key stakeholders. Experience in an incubator environment is also desirable.
While event management will be the primary focus, the candidate should have experience supporting startup initiatives to strengthen partnerships and value exchange within the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential for this role.
Successful applicant will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
