What the role is

The mission of the Work Injury Compensation Department (WICD) is to uphold a simple and transparent work injury compensation system for our stakeholders so that eligible employees or their dependents can receive timely compensation for suffering work-related injury, death or occupational disease.

What you will be working on

You will conduct investigations to determine the admissibility of claims under the Work Injury Compensation Act, and to initiate appropriate enforcement and prosecution actions against errant employers and workers where necessary. You will be required to liaise with relevant parties/organisations to obtain necessary information/documents/medical evidence on the accidents. These are done by conducting interviews, recording statements, auditing records and conducting field visit, where appropriate. You are also required to ensure the robustness of SOPs/policies where appropriate.

What we are looking for

• Recognised tertiary qualifications in any discipline • Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) certification, such as the Specialist Diploma in WSH, will be an added advantage • Legal and regulatory background would be an added advantage • Strong analytical skills, good written, communication and interpersonal skills
