What the role is

As Singapore is the fifth largest ship registry in the world, you will be part of a dynamic team that oversees the strategic growth and promotion of the Singapore Registry of Ships (SRS) as a responsible and quality registry to support Singapore’s development as an International Maritime Centre. This fast-paced and challenging job requires you to engage, build relationship and work in close partnerships with ship owners and operators, and the wider maritime industry to facilitate the growth of their maritime businesses in Singapore.

What you will be working on

You will be responsible for the daily operations of the Registry to provide professional registration services to our customers. You will also be involved in regular reviews and formulation of policies to maintain Singapore’s leadership as one of the top 5 registries in the world. With an increasing focus on a sustainable maritime transport system, you will play a key role working with and supporting internal teams to promote sustainable shipping to our ship owners and operators. To increase the awareness of the shipping community, you will be required to draft and promulgate Shipping Circulars and Advisories pertaining to national and international requirement applicable to Singapore Registered Ships.

What we are looking for

You should possess a qualification preferably in Maritime or Engineering discipline, with prior experience in promotion and marketing including market research, statistical and data analysis. Those with experience in any shipboard roles or roles related to supporting shipboard activities will be an advantage.

You should have strong analytical, writing and communications skills, and a good command of English. You should also be adaptable and be able to demonstrate ability to appreciate situations and make sound recommendations.
