What the role is
What you will be working on

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage the BCA Product Owner to establish a clear product vision and roadmap for AI/ML and automation initiative and what is needed to get there
- Lead discovery and validation of use cases through user research and stakeholder engagement
- Define product requirements and translate complex agency needs into actionable technical solutions
- Lead end-to-end product development using agile methodologies, from discovery and user research through to deployment and continuous improvement
- Drive data-informed decision making through analytics, user research, and performance metrics to optimise product outcomes
- Own project delivery parameters including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Government policies and standard operating procedures
- Develop and maintain project documentation including business cases, procurement papers, and status reports for senior management
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and government requirements

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or a related field with minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in modern product development/management technologies and practices such as Agile, Cloud, Design Thinking, and Product-Centric Development will be strongly preferred.
- Working directly with engineers, designers and other product managers (ideally at least 3 years).
- Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and align diverse groups
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adaptable, open-minded, and comfortable working with ambiguity and change.
- Able to manage multiple projects with competing priorities simultaneously
