What the role is
What you will be working on
The job scope will include but not limited to the following:
- Monitoring the performance of various data processing and collection systems and equipment to ensure timely availability of data in support of weather monitoring and forecasting activities
- Collating and preparing operational aviation meteorological information
- Consolidating and analysing statistics in support of the departments’ decision making process
- Assist in coordinating with external vendors/agencies during equipment or system outage and perform first line trouble-shooting for prompt restoration of system.
- Performing archiving of data on specialised meteorological systems and where necessary, retrieve these data in support of special investigations and enquiries
What we are looking for
The job might be for you if you possess the following:
- NITEC or GCE ‘O’ level with pass in English/Maths/Science
- 1-2 years of working experience in shift work
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Words, Powerpoint, Excel)
- Communicate clearly and in a friendly manner, and enjoy working with others
- Pay attention to the finer details
- Organised and able to multi-task
- Mature, independent, and resourceful
- Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
- Able to perform rotating shift work
- Able to work night shift and on weekends
