The job holder would project manage the Nodes innovation pilot/s from planning to implementation and operations on the ground, and be the business partner to the external partner to cultivate and maintain warm collaboration relations and explore mid to longer term opportunities, to fulfil the requirements under the LAB25 (Library and Archives Blueprint 2025).
The Nodes Initiative is to work with a partner to set up a space that can be used to pilot innovations and test projects which NLB wants to but may be unable to do at our premises due to existing infrastructure which we have already invested in. The intent of these Nodes is to leverage partner infrastructure and appear in surprising areas to offer library services to patrons who do not visit the library. This could take the form of QR codes (links to NLB’s vast amount of e-resources) on a poster or wallpaper to feature NLB’s vast e-collection to popping up in larger spaces (~100sqm) which will feature a lending collection, digital interactive screens to feature our e-collection and generative-AI products (Chatbook, StoryGen).
