What the role is

The Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), a cluster of NParks, safeguards the health and welfare of animals through comprehensive and integrated programmes. AVS works closely with partners in the veterinary and animal-related industries to strengthen capacities and enhance competencies in animal health and welfare. It is the main touch-point on animal and veterinary matters in Singapore and the First Responder for all animal-related feedback. It also conducts public education and engagement programmes to foster a humane and gracious society for all, where pet owners, communities, and animals co-exist in greater harmony within our biophilic City in Nature.

What you will be working on

•    Manage contracts including calling and evaluating tenders
•    Support tenancy management work
•    Plan and execute operational work at The Animal Lodge (TAL). Operations include estate management and general administration.
•    Coordinating with stakeholders such as contractors, engaging tenants, addressing public feedback, and working cohesively other branches within AVS to ensure smooth operations at TAL
•    Perform other assignments or projects as required

What we are looking for

•    2 to 3 years of experience in government procurement, revenue contracting and/or contract management will be an advantage.
•    Good written and verbal communication skills
•    Highly motivated and independent individual 
•    Innovative and resourceful individual who can work well with a diverse group of stakeholders
•    Good team player with strong interpersonal and project management skills
•    Willing to work outdoors, after office hours and during weekends when required

Other Information

•    Candidate must be comfortable working in proximity with animals
•    Office will be located at The Animal Lodge (59 Sungei Tengah Road, Singapore 699014)

Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. Successful candidates will be offered a 11-month employment contract
