What the role is

Performance Management (PM) unit within MPD handles performance management and manages the promotion and ranking cycle for all schemes of services in the SPF. The job holder provides staff support to Head Performance Management in managing the appraisal, promotion and ranking of more than 10,000 HUS officers in SPF. You will be placed under the Management Executive Scheme.

What you will be working on

You will assist in all ranking and promotion related matters for HUS officers at units. You will verify and process the performance bonus payment, merit increment and promotion increment accurately and timely within the short timeline. You will plan and implement communication plans and dialogue sessions for all officers on R&P matters. You will plan and conduct briefing and training sessions to management and HR officers at units so that they have better knowledge of R&P guidelines and processes. You need to be very meticulous to check through all the ranking documents and system records to ensure accuracy. You must be comfortable and confident to engage Directors and Commanders on ranking discussion. You must be able to present professionally to our officers and management during R&P dialogue sessions and training sessions.

What we are looking for

JOB EXPECTATIONS We are looking for a pro-active and dynamic individual to be part of our HR Team. You will be expected to carry out HR-related functions proficiently using the relevant HR systems, and at the same time, adhering to the HR-related legislations and policies and applying the relevant procedures. • Field of studies in HR will be an advantage; • Good to have relevant HR background/experience in the Public Sector; • Possess strong computing skills such as Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint; • Strong analytical skills and prepared to work hands-on with HR systems; • Meticulous and independent worker who is able to carry out your responsibilities with minimum supervision; • Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills; • Possess good presentation skills including presentation to Senior Management in SPF; • Good time management and be able to meet tight deadlines; Short-listed candidates will be notified within two weeks of the closing date for applications.
