What the role is

As a member of the Policy and Planning team, you are responsible for policy developments and reviews, Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) governance, and secretariat duties. This includes liaising with MCCY, Board Members, external stakeholders and cross-departmental work to ensure smooth processes.

  • Develop robust arts and culture policies for Singapore’s art ecosystem, including the review of existing policies and papers to ensure relevance to the development and needs of Singapore’s arts landscape.
  • Oversee Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) governance and relationship management, including the review of CLG governance frameworks and serving as account manager for designated CLG(s) to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Be part of strategic planning processes including coordinating the annual workplan development and management of key Strategic Planning events e.g. Staff Conference and Planning events.
  • Secretariat duties, as well as department budget responsibilities. 
  • Reporting and liaison with Ministry, where required.

    What we are looking for

    The ideal candidate should have:

    • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in corporate/ strategic planning.  
    • Entry level applicants are welcomed if they demonstrate key competencies in areas highlighted in the job description.
    • Skills and competencies preferably in business, economics, communications or related fields. 
    • Experience in strategic and corporate planning processes and performance management is preferred. 
    • Inquisitive mind with strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an interest in data strategy.  
    • Excellent written, communication, presentation and facilitation skills. 
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer orientation. 
    • Strong administrative skills (proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint).  
    • Able to organise events of varying scale. 
    • Good team player who is proactive.
