The biennial world Cities Summit (WCS) is a global platform for government leaders and industry experts to address liveable and sustainable city challenges, share integrated urban solutions and forge new partnerships. The World Cities Summit (WCS) seeks to equip and inspire a global community of city leaders and allied professionals dedicated to making our cities more liveable and sustainable. The overall success of the flagship events like WCS help to create mindshare at national, sub-national and regional levels on Singapore’s standing as a liveable, sustainable, resilient and loveable city; and build relationships with up-and-coming leaders of other cities and nations.

The intern may be tasks to any of the following roles: • Programme - Coordinate within CLC and Event Organiser on content programming for MF. • Secretariat/Ops - Assist Head Ops with all secretariat duties, including note-taking, and follow up with Event organiser. • VIP Invitation & Bilat Engagements - Work with team to manage RSVPs and coordinate bilateral engagement/logisitics with city leaders. • Hospitality & Protocol - Coordinate and assist with protocol arrangements & logistics for VIPs. • Young Leaders - Support team in management of Young Leaders, organisation of the YL Symposium, programming and networking event. Includes note-taking for YL Symposium. • Corporate Relations - Support BD team in management of Sponsors at WCS. Assist to prepare updates on Sponsorship matters, including responding to Sponsors' queries. • Liaison Officer (LO) team - Assist Chief and Asst Chief LO to coordinate amongst entire LO team

• Meticulous in nature. Some experience in organising events would be useful. Strong in communication, both written and verbal. • Data entry, excel and powerpoint skills required for programming and operational work. • Data visualisation skills would be a bonus. • Info literate to produce credible desktop research with the ability to synthesize information in concise write-ups. • Would be useful for interns to be effectively bilingual, in the event we need any quick translation work.
