International Group Headquarters Division resides within the International Group. It supports STB in varied areas such as international relations, market strategy and planning for its network of regional offices, aviation and visa facilitation matters, segment development and operational matters pertaining to regional offices’ work. The appointed staff is required to support the division in organising the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2027 in Singapore.

Role and responsibilities:

The appointed staff is required to support the various subcommittees of the ATF organising committee in the following areas (not exhaustive):

1) Meetings Sub-Comm and Coordinating Secretariat

  • Preparation of briefs and meeting documents for the senior management
  • Preparation of regular updates to senior management
  • Provide support for the implementation of ASEAN Tourism Awards with ASEAN Secretariat and ASEAN Member States

 2) Events and Hospitality Sub-Comm

  • Work closely with the appointed Event Organiser to plan and curate programmes and effectively implement the Opening and Closing Ceremonies
  • Work with appointed tour operator and Transport & Logistics Subcomm to plan, curate and organise the technical visits for delegates
  • Work with the appointed Event Organiser to conceptualise, design and construct the Singapore Pavilion at the travel fair.
  • Assist with the travel trade participation at the Singapore Pavilion

3) Communications and Marketing Sub-Com

  • Preparation of media materials, speeches and press releases

  • Assist with the media briefings eg. media invites 
  • Assist with marketing and publicity matters eg destination information on ATF website, marketing collateral (videos and banners)

 4) Partnership Sub-com

  • Identify and solicit partnerships with brands/companies for the event, eg official vehicle, souvenirs, attires for VIPs and Liaison officers

5) Transport and Logistics Sub-com

  • Discuss potential partnerships with transport providers to provide vehicles for VIPs

  • Assist with transportation plan for VIPs and delegations to all official programmes
  • Coordinate logistics (e.g. security, transport, etc.) with other tourism stakeholders for tradeshow participants attending ATF Opening and Closing Ceremonies
  • Plan and manage safety and security and first aid arrangements in collaboration with relevant agencies and partners
  • Work with relevant educational institutions to identify & appoint suitable students as Liaison Officers (LOs) to general ATF delegations
  • Plan and manage protocol, guidelines and training programmes for LOs
  • Assist with the planning of LO deployment

6) Administrative matters

  •  Provide administrative support pertaining to procurement of goods and services related to the event
  • Coordinate meetings with relevant HQ line units, event organisers, tourism stakeholders and government agencies
  • Assist with post-event duties such as feedback surveys, After Action Report and delivery of certificates and trophies

What we are looking for

[What we are looking for]

  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in areas such as project management, marketing and business development. Prior experience in team supervision, policy planning and/or working with government ministries and agencies will be an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal skills and teamwork so that you could influence multiple stakeholders and engage in productive relationships that require collaboration and engagement across organization, functions and levels.
  • Strength in project management and operations so as to ensure timeliness in the delivery of outcomes and alignment across team members and multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate well in ambiguous settings without pre-existing established guidelines and rules and have the ability to implement systems and processes to operationalize work.
  • Good communication (verbal & written) skills.
  • Competence in working with numbers, preferably with some experience in handling budgets.
