As a Character and Citizenship Education Officer (CCEO) (NCC) in the Student Development Curriculum Division 1, you will help shape the experiences of students in the National Cadet Corps (NCC), and implement programmes to support their character, citizenship and leadership development. You will be based at NCC Headquarters (229 Ang Mo Kio Street 66, #01-02, Amoy Quee Camp, Singapore 567759).

What the role is
What you will be working on
• Support the implementation of Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) 2021 through Uniformed Groups (UG) programmes that develop character, leadership and citizenship values, in partnership with MINDEF and the SAF Services (Air, Land, Sea)
• Guide and support schools in running quality UG programmes, through coaching and developing Teacher Officers within the assigned districts, helping them improve curriculum delivery and facilitation
• Supervise the planning and conduct of UG activities in the assigned districts, including both local and overseas programmes, and ensuring the activities meet safety and educational standards, aligned with national UG directives
• Coordinate logistics and manage cadet nominations and manpower development efforts in line with operational needs
• Collaborate with UG strategic partners (e.g. MINDEF, SPF, SCDF) to identify, plan and implement enriching programmes, including national competitions, parades and leadership courses
What we are looking for
• Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
• Good communication skills, ability to articulate effectively and demonstrate sound analytical thinking
• Prior experience in the Uniformed Services would be an advantage
