Responsibilities: · Render accurate and professional interpretation in courts, chambers, registries, mediation/ counselling sessions from the English Language to the Tamil language and vice versa · Provide accurate and professional translation of court/court-related documents from the English Language to the Tamil Language and vice versa · Review/refine current work processes and procedures · Multi-task and perform other duties in the administration of justice

Requirements: · Excellent command of both the English and Tamil Languages · Relevant work experience and/or qualifications in interpretation and/or translation would be an advantage · Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills · Able to remain calm under pressure and quick to react to unexpected situations · Possess a positive attitude and service-oriented · Possess the stamina and ability to concentrate for a prolonged period · Able to work both independently and as a team Note: All candidates are required to sit for a pre-selection test. The successful candidate will be appointed on a one-year probationary contract in the first instance.
