Under the internship programme, you will be attached to the Centre of Building Research in HDB's Building & Research Institute. During your internship, you will be part of a dynamic team that charts the overall R&D directions, funding, capabilities and engagement landscape for the whole of HDB, as well as the overall Built Environment in Singapore. You will be involved in scaling up systems to smartly manage R&D programmes (Cities of Tomorrow and Cool Ideas Enterprise R&D Programmes) that help to improve sustainability and construction productivity in HDB towns, and technological advancement in the Built Environment. These systems help us to manage our expanding R&D project portfolio efficiently. You will leverage technology to improve PowerBI business dashboards that will assist HDB's Senior Leadership Team to monitor and analyse R&D performance at a glance, and to flag the need for interventions. You will be involved in adapting these tools for use across government agencies. You may be involved in charting the next step of Built Environment R&D as we prepare to strategise the main R&D focus areas for the Research, Innovation and Enterprise 2030 (RIE2030) tranche. You will also help with improvements related to Punggol Discovery Cube, a physical space that showcases HDB’s work in developing the new town of Punggol. Students with knowledge/willingness to learn Microsoft PowerBI (a Business Intelligence tool) are preferred. We recommend self-learning before the internship commences.
