The officer will play a key role in contributing to the success of the Singapore Grand Prix, a marquee annual event for Singapore that contributes significant economic and tourism benefits, and in raising the profile of destination Singapore. First held in 2008, the Singapore Grand Prix was the first night race in the FIA Formula One World Championship race calendar. It remains to be Asia’s only street circuit and night race.
STB is responsible for leading the Whole-of-Government effort to plan and execute this world class event in partnership with our race promoter.
The officer will lead and drive various critical aspects of the race:
• Oversee the circuit set-up and manage the use of race-related infrastructure in the circuit in close partnership with SGP and other government agencies.
• Maximise the showcase of Singapore's cityscape on aerial broadcast by planning the lighting of key trackside properties and facilitating F1’s aerial filming operations.
• Represent the Government/STB in the Race Organising Committee and manage key stakeholders.
