As a Senior/ Lead Manager, Counselling and Student Welfare (CSW) in Guidance Branch, Student Development Curriculum Division 1, you will be part of the team ensuring that MOE schools are adequately supported with school counselling and student welfare services.

What the role is
What you will be working on
• Provide leadership in knowledge management and analysis of data to inform policy decisions/ practices, and track outcomes, keeping abreast of the affordance of automation technology to improve data analysis and/or knowledge management
• Perform secretariat/ staffing duties and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders (including schools, MOEHQ, external agencies) on CSW-related matters.
• Prepare reports and communicate findings and policy implications to policymakers, programme developers and schools
• Organise national-level events such as conferences and seminars to enhance professional development of the School Counsellors (SC) and Student Welfare Officers (SWO)
• Work with MOE HR Division to ensure the adequate resourcing of SWOs and SCs to all schools
What we are looking for
• Preferably trained in Social Science
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience relevant to children and youth, preferably in MOE and/ or the social service sector
• Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Strong competencies in using Excel and/ or other data software
• Strong administration, planning, time-management and organisational skills
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure and tight timelines
• Ability to work well independently and in teams
