The role aims to develop and manage relationships and collaborations with like-minded individuals, organisations, professional bodies, corporate, government agencies to support the transformation and development of NLB's Library and Archives Blueprint 2025 (LAB25).

What you will be working on

  • Formulate volunteer strategies to ensure high-value collaborations.
  • Oversee the development and establishment of policies, workflows and procedures to manage volunteers efficiently.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporations, schools and individuals to create meaningful volunteering experiences that support LAB25 initiatives.
  • Research volunteering trends/landscape and evaluate NLB's volunteer management strategy to ensure it effectively supports LAB25 initiatives while meeting the diverse interests and profiles of our volunteers. Develop value propositions and pitches for group volunteers such as corporate and school volunteers.
  • Evaluate and enhance the volunteer management system and portal (both front and back end) to streamline operations, improve user experience, and better support LAB25 initiatives. Manage a system of recognition and benefits package for volunteers, in support of LAB25 initiatives and projects.
  • Lead volunteer recruitment activities for new revamped libraries or new initiatives.
  • Train internal stakeholders for engaging volunteers at their libraries for retention and long-term collaboration.
  • Lead/support other volunteers-related activities/events such as NLB’s Annual Volunteer Appreciation Event, Rewards tours, etc.
  • Manage and respond to volunteering-related enquiries.

What we are looking for

  • Preferably with 3-5 years of relevant experience in partnership and/or volunteer management.
  • Excellent communication skills (writing and speaking).
  • Excellent interpersonal, project management and organisation skills.
  • Able to work effectively in different work situations.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • A self-starter with an analytical and creative mind.

The successful applicant will be appointed on contract till 30 Dec 2026.
