What the role is
What you will be working on
You will play an important role in enhancing road user safety initiatives undertaken by LTA. Your responsibilities will include safety audits and inspections of roads, cycling infrastructure and bus interchange projects to identify potential safety concerns. You will provide technical advice on road safety matters to project teams and consultants. Additionally, you will be required to strengthen safety governance framework, research on best international road safety practices, and improve LTA road design standards and practice. You will also help to deliver safety training courses and promotional events for industry stakeholders, contribute safety news articles and develop guidebook to build awareness and capability.
What we are looking for
• Knowledge in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering or Traffic Engineering
• Familiar with international and local road design standards
• Practical experience in road design, traffic management and road safety engineering are preferred
• Good written and spoken communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work well in a team with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Initiative, good interpersonal and leadership skills
• Strong analytical, observational skills and decision-making abilities
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge in AutoCAD, BIM, AI tools and specialised traffic modelling software will be added advantage
• Possess a Class 3 driving licence will be an advantage
