What the role is
The Strategy, International & Research (SIR) Directorate oversees and drives MSF’s strategic planning, transformation, international engagement, as well as research and analytics efforts to achieve MSF’s strategic outcomes.
As part of the Transformation Division in SIR, you will be involved in a cross-functional team to drive MSF’s data strategy, formulate data governance policies/processes and build data capabilities within MSF.
Reporting to the Senior Assistant Director (Data Governance Office) of the Transformation Division within SIR, you will be part of a high-performing team of officers who are committed to drive data transformation within MSF and the social service sector.
What you will be working on
Join us in shaping MSF's data transformation journey. We are seeking skilled professional to help design and implement MSF's Data Plan, and enhance our data management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise a team of officers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management while fostering a culture of data excellence and continuous improvement
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across divisions to understand business requirements and ensure data quality standards meet operational needs
• Review and implement comprehensive data quality frameworks, policies, and standard operating procedures aligned with organisational objectives and government data standards
• Oversee the design and implementation of data quality monitoring systems, establishing key performance indicators and quality metrics to track data integrity
• Drive strategic data quality initiatives
• Lead data governance committees and working groups, facilitating discussions on data quality improvements and resolving complex data management challenges
• Oversee the implementation of the data training roadmap and ensure MSF officers are equipped with the skillsets for managing data in their work.
What we are looking for
• Relevant education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Statistics or related field
• 4-5 years of experience in data management roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
• Strong knowledge of data quality methodologies, tools, and industry best practices
• Experience in leading data quality improvement projects and implementing data governance frameworks
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and quality management systems
