Assistant Director (Information Management) - DIS

What the role is

You lead a team to develop, draft and review information management plans for the Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS) in collaboration with the DIS Departments and Commands, and relevant stakeholders.

What you will be working on

- Establish, manage, and optimise a Knowledge Management System and repository for the DIS's Information Management Plans (MPs) and open communication lines - Draft various DIS IMPs (including for projects, exercises, capabilities, people and interactions) in collaboration with DIS Departments and Commands - Advise DIS Departments/Commands/Units on strategic communications messaging - Vet DIS-related materials, publicity materials and articles as well as speeches related to the DIS - Execute DIS information training and education roadmap, oversee the Raise, Train and Sustain (RTS) function of DIS personnel with required strategic communications skills Challenge(s) - Being experienced and familiar with operations within MINDEF, SAF and DIS - Being attuned with the strategic narratives of MINDEF/SAF and the DIS, and to keep abreast of events and news which may impact the DIS - Appreciation of the DIS Community's culture and coordinate with multiple agencies and stakeholders - Being cognisant of the evolving information landscape as well as geopolitical developments to identity information opportunities to be relevant to DIS

What we are looking for

- Education preferably in Communications, Psychology, Social Sciences or International Relations - At least 6 years of working experience in communications, psychology, social sciences, or international relations - Good analytical skills and writing ability - Good awareness of Singapore's political, defence, and security developments as well as current affairs Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
