What the role is
What you will be working on
You will work as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Tuas South Incineration Plant to ensure the plant and its electrical equipment are operated and maintained smoothly, safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for the following:
Lead a group of technical officers to perform operation and maintenance of electrical equipment such as, high and low tension switchgear, electrical distribution and protection equipment, transformers and motors, distribution control system, instrumentation and process control, turbine and generator control and protection equipment
Plan and carry out the preventive and remedial maintenance of all the electrical systems in the plant so as to achieve high availability and ensure breakdown equipment are repaired within the shortest possible time
Ensure all maintenance works are carried out safely and adhere to all safety regulations so as to achieve zero accident for the section
Call and administer tenders/contract for the maintenance, servicing and repair of the electrical systems in compliance to NEA procurement guidelines and IM requirements.
Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
What we are looking for
Degree in Electrical Engineering
Prior working experience in process / power plant engineering and the operation and maintenance of electrical equipment / systems would be advantage
Ability to lead, interact and foster team work
Ability to manage and administer contracts
Good problem-solving, writing & communication skills
Mature, independent and resourceful
Highly self-motivated
Good presentation skill
Proficient in using IT equipment and computer programs such as Microsoft Office, engineering drawing software, SQL, etc.
