[LTA-IDE] ENGINEER, RAIL DESIGN DEVELOPMENT (CIVIL)
What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be involved in the design management of railway projects – new rail lines and/or station rejuvenation programme. You will work with a team to oversee consultants to develop railway schemes (new and existing stations), develop new rail alignments, develop strategies to address overcrowding and enhance station accessibility and vibrancy for rejuvenating stations. new rail lines. Your responsibilities include managing the engineering studies (both feasibility and advance engineering studies), coordinating with internal stakeholders and government agencies to incorporate their requirements into the design proposal, safeguarding railway corridors, engaging stakeholders and operators and securing planning approvals and project budgets. You will prepare design brief, review design drawings and tender documents, participate in tender evaluation leading to award of consultants or contractors. You will also develop and review engineering standards as well as providing technical support for project implementation
What we are looking for
• Knowledge in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Civil/Structural Engineering design, experience in design development of railway projects would be an advantage.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Candidates with strong relevant years of experience will be considered for senior roles
