1. Monitor to ensure that maintenance activities for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and RTUs at pumping installations, Odour Control Facilities (OCFs), bubbler level system and Key Node Junctions (KNJs) are carried out safely and in accordance with the schedule on site.
2. Analyse and implement cyber security requirements and recommendation issued from Infotech and Digital Transformation Department (IDTD) and/or from cybersecurity related audits. This could include reviews and enforcements of enforce cybersecurity controls, policies, processes, and procedures to ensure cybersecurity compliance for WRN’s SCADA system
3. Analyse and identify root cause of SCADA alarms so as to reduce false alarms received through SCADA, and identify the related sensors, communications or equipment issues.
4. Lead the risk & vulnerability assessments, compliance audits and related cybersecurity exercises for the SCADA system at WRN Ops Centre
5. Review technical drawings, specifications and schematics of SCADA system and oversee the testing and commissioning of the new system
6. Review asset renewal programme for the SCADA system and instrumentation reaching end of economic life.
7. Review maintenance plans, schedules, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for inspection, testing and maintenance of SCADA system and RTUs.
8. Plan and manage the manpower resources and expenditures of term contracts used for the maintenance of the SCADA system and instruments at pumping installations, odour control facilities (OCF) and bubbler level system.
9. Draft, call and evaluate tender proposals for term contracts that are used for maintenance of SCADA system and instruments at pumping installations, odour control facilities (OCF) and bubbler level system.
10. Liaise with contractors on tasks, activities, and progress of deployment of response/rectification plans, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to the SCADA system and instruments.
11. Ensure that all work activities such as maintenance and upgrading works are carried out safely, in accordance with safe work procedures, contract specifications and statutory requirements and with minimal impact/disruption to used water conveyance.
12. Review condition assessment, implementation and maintenance reports submitted by contractors to ensure works were carried out in order before recommending for acceptance.
